Jeff Lange was born in 1970 in Leesburg, Virginia. The youngest of three sons, he is from an artistically inclined family. Jeff graduated from Winthrop University on a soccer scholarship majoring in History with minors in German and Art. Both of his brothers, T. L. and Stephen also attended Winthrop University studying Art. After graduation from college in 1992, Jeff moved to Atlanta where he worked as an assistant to his brother, T. L. Lange, also a professional artist. Several years later, Jeff made a move to the mountains in Andrews, North Carolina. He chose this environment to escape the distractions of civilization and to focus all his energies on becoming a better artist. This is where his love for painting landscapes came alive. In the past five years, Jeff has had many successful shows and two sell-out solo exhibitions in 1999 and 2001. In 1999 Jeff moved back to Atlanta to pursue his art career with new inspiration. Atlanta is now his permanent residence.
